Who We Are

Our Values

Jesus First

Everything begins and ends with Jesus. (Colossians 1:18, Revelation 22:13)

So, we ask God:

Dignity of All

God created all and gave His Son to die for all. (Genesis 1:27, John 3:16, Luke 15:7, 19:10, 2 Peter 3:9)

So, we ask ourselves:

  • How am I showing that all people matter to God?

Partnering With Purpose

God uses His followers to help each other grow more like Jesus. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Acts 2:42-47, 1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 4:15-16, Philippians 2:2)

So, we ask each other:

  • How are we pursuing Jesus together?

Our original values still apply:

Acceptance

Accept people as they are and help them become who God wants them to be. (Romans 15:7)

Assisting Growth

Help each other communicate with God and become like Jesus. (Ephesians 4:16)

Authenticity

Practice honesty with God and others– showing consistency between our beliefs and actions.(Ephesians 4:15)

Aiding the Community

Show the love of Jesus in practical ways to the disadvantaged. (Psalms 82:3-4)

What Are We Seeking To Do?

Encourage everyone to pursue a relationship with Jesus

Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:5 (NLT)

Why?

So everyone can experience transformed life.

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Ephesians 3:19 (NLT)

Transformed Life is Evidenced By:

LOVING GOD

Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.

Matthew 22:37-38 (NLT)

LOVING PEOPLE

A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Matthew 22:39 (NLT)

LIVING LIKE JESUS

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world.

1 John 4:17 (NLT)

How?

By Faith.

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."

Romans 1:17 (NLT)

Through...

COMMUNICATING WITH GOD

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

John 15:7 (NLT)

We give communication by giving God our lives and resources, as well as praise and thanks. (Romans 12:1, Psalms 95:2)

We receive communication through the Bible and Prayer. (John 8:31-32,1 Thessalonians 5:17)

CONNECTING WITH CHRISTIANS

For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.

Matthew 18:20 (NLT)

We engage in relationships through acceptance and gathering in groups. (Romans 12:16, Hebrews 10:24-25)

We encourage spiritual growth by assisting with next steps and being transparent. (Romans 1:12)

CARING FOR OTHERS

And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Matthew 25:40 (NLT)

We serve alongside others. (Romans 12:4-5)

We share what Jesus has done for us. (1 Peter 3:15)
